ASICS and Fidan Novruzova Turn the GEL-Cumulus 16 into Wearable Art
ASICS has teamed up once again with Moldovan designer Fidan Novruzova for a striking addition to its Crafts for Mind series. This new interpretation of the GEL-Cumulus 16 reimagines the performance runner as a sculptural object and the 100 handmade pairs blur the line between footwear and art.
Novruzova, whose namesake label is known for its folded silhouettes and architectural detail, brings her signature touch through premium leathers, a square-cut tongue, and an oversized tassel that drapes across the laces. Available in Black and Cherry Red, the collaboration continues ASICS’ recent push into design-led territory following projects with TOGA and Jungles Jungles. Beyond aesthetics, a share of proceeds supports the Fondation pour la Recherche sur l’Endométriose, funding research into endometriosis.
The release drops October 31 via Fidan Novruzova’s webstore and represents a thoughtful, crafted twist on one of ASICS’ most enduring silhouettes.

Hermès names Grace Wales Bonner as menswear creative director
Hermès has appointed British designer Grace Wales Bonner as its new menswear creative director, marking a major shift for the French house after nearly four decades under Véronique Nichanian.
Known for her intellectual approach to tailoring and her exploration of Black identity through craft, music, and history, Wales Bonner brings a distinct perspective shaped by her eponymous label’s blend of European refinement and Caribbean influence. Her appointment signals Hermès’s intent to infuse its quietly luxurious men’s collections with a more contemporary cultural voice while maintaining the brand’s deep commitment to craftsmanship.
Industry observers expect subtle evolution rather than radical change with precise tailoring, layered textures, and a narrative depth that reflects her academic yet wearable style. Wales Bonner’s first collection for Hermès will debut in 2027, positioning her as one of the most significant creative forces in luxury menswear today.

This Sought-After Sweater From The Brutalist Can Now Be Yours
In her latest piece for GQ, Eileen Cartter dives into the cult fascination surrounding Adrien Brody’s gray sweater from The Brutalist and reveals how costume designer Kate Forbes has turned the once-vintage one-off into a limited-edition garment fans can finally own:
About three-quarters of the way through The Brutalist, Brady Corbett’s Oscar-winning epic about the life of a Hungarian Jewish architect named László Tóth, there’s a scene that has transfixed a certain sector of menswear enthusiasts ever since the film hit theaters last December. In the clip, it’s the late 1950s, and Tóth—who by then is living in New York City and spending time in its downtown beatnik scene—is having dinner with his family at their apartment. Seated at the table, he is wearing a concrete-gray sweater with a sculptural neckline, Issey Miyake-esque ribbing, and soft, sloping shoulders.
