Fresh Talent and Timeless Icons Shape Pitti Uomo
With Pitti Uomo round the corner we look forward to the season’s menswear fixture. Guest designers MM6 Maison Margiela and Setchu will showcase unique approaches: MM6 focuses on contemporary, anonymous design, while Setchu, led by LVMH Prize winner Satoshi Kuwata, reimagines tailoring with modular, genderless pieces.
Ferragamo will highlight craftsmanship with a presentation on its Tramezza shoe, and emerging talents in the Kering-backed S/Style showroom will create looks from recycled materials.
Meanwhile, Milan Fashion Week faces a reduced schedule, missing key brands like Gucci, Fendi, and JW Anderson. However, stalwarts like Prada, Giorgio Armani, and Zegna anchor the lineup, with Armani praised for timeless appeal and Zegna for its evolution into understated luxury. Emerging designers and brands, including Saul Nash, Pierre-Louis Mascia, and Qasimi, bring fresh perspectives, while streetwear label PDF makes its runway debut.
Despite a luxury slowdown, the Italian menswear market is growing faster than womenswear, offering opportunities for innovative brands to show what they can do.

Sneaker Releases of the Week
This week we want to highlight three fire shoes that have just been released.
Nike Cygnal
Nike channels its late-80s Air Magma roots with the Cygnal, a hiking-inspired sneaker for urban explorers. The "University Red" iteration features a red suede upper with yellow laces, navy accents, black metallic lace locks, and a ridged midsole. Embossed branding at the rear completes the retro aesthetic.
adidas Japan
adidas shows off Japan heritage in a bold "Kill Bill"-esque yellow-and-black colorway. A deep yellow crinkled leather and suede upper pairs with black leather Three Stripes and gold trefoil detailing. A classic look, this retro banger keeps yellow sneakers trending into 2025.
Carpet Company x Vans Old School 36+
Carpet Company reinvents Vans’ Old School silhouette in this limited-edition drop of just 1,977 pairs. Featuring crocodile yellow leather, soft suede, aged outsoles, and painted waffle soles, this collaboration elevates the classic sneaker. Details like pull tabs and retro-inspired patches make it a must-have.
