Polo Ralph Lauren And Ms Naiomi Glasses Celebrate Rodeo Culture And Navajo Weaving Traditions
In Mr Porter Journal this week is a fascinating trip through Ralph Lauren and native American textile design that’ll both inform and inspire:
Ralph Lauren is many things. A salesman. A visionary. We’ve talked before about his incredible knack for storytelling, and how his clothes seem to instantly transport us like readers of a book. For close to six decades, the designer has weaved narratives about home into his work, celebrating American land, culture and art through his many, many brands (that’s the salesman in him). Lauren’s designs have been so successful that they have been become synonymous with the US itself. But Lauren understands his isn’t the only story to tell. He has always been open to change, ready to turn the page, if you will. And it is this kind of evolved thinking that informs the designer’s latest chapter – a series of partnerships with fellow crafts people, as part of the Ralph Lauren Artist In Residence programme. In doing so, Lauren is mindful that his is not the only story, and is working with others to share theirs.

Uniqlo Unveils the New KAWS and Warhol Collection
Uniqlo has teamed up with iconic artists KAWS and Andy Warhol to launch a new UT (Uniqlo T-shirt) collection, celebrating the KAWS + Warhol exhibition at The Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. This collaboration is a continuation of Uniqlo's long-standing commitment to merging art with everyday fashion, as seen through their "Art for All" project. KAWS, who has been working with Uniqlo since 2016, and Warhol, whose art first appeared on Uniqlo products in 2004, are both featured in this latest collection.
The new line includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, socks, and tote bags, blending KAWS’ signature characters like the “Blue BFF” with Warhol’s famous pieces, such as the “Banana.” Alongside the clothing, Uniqlo will also offer an art book for the KAWS + Warhol exhibition, featuring exclusive content including interviews with KAWS, essays, and installation views. The collection will be available globally in Uniqlo stores and online from August 22, allowing fans to bring a piece of art history into their everyday wardrobe.
Check out the collection now at the Uniqlo website.

Preserving the soul of shoemaking
Step into the world of artisanal craftsmanship to explore the heart of EasyMoc’s workshop in Lewiston, Maine, where tradition and skill merge to preserve the age-old art of genuine hand-sewn moccasin making with our friends at heritage menswear retailer Division Road:
For a look behind the curtain, we ventured to Lewiston, Maine, to document and exhibit EasyMoc’s artisan workshop — where the team works to preserve the tradition of indigenous, iconic, and hyper-fly genuine hand-sewn moccasin construction. This small team, comprising a fraction of Lewiston’s industrial shoe-making history, remains one of the few production studios that specialize in this largely hand-made footwear. We are honored to have access and present a look into this rare craft with our exclusive producer of moccasins, which puts centuries of knowledge and skill into each pair.
