Blacksmith Enters Super Heavyweight Hoodie Market with 750GSM Staple

In the world of sweatshirts something lightweight might weigh in at 250gsm. For midweight you’re looking at 350gsm and heavyweight is usually something around 500gsm. Then came the leisurewear brand from one of the founders of Naked & Famous called WonderLooper which burst onto the market with a hoodie weighing in at a frankly staggering 700gsm.

Well now we seemingly have a new entrant into this super heavyweight market with a scarcely believable 750gsm hoodie at a similarly unbelievable price of just $105. UK based retailer Blacksmith have dropped this heavy-duty, garment dyed, loopback fleece as their first ever own-brand blank and, the first instalment in their upcoming Staples collection.

The Staples range comprises their takes on wardrobe classics, with an emphasis on fits and fabrics that you’ll struggle to find elsewhere.
