Issue #3 | Elevated streetstyle that you can actually wear

Drake’s, Universal Works, Drôle de Monsieur and Our Latest Picks

Welcome to Style Uncut. The latest and greatest in men’s fashion and style brought direct to your inbox every week.

New lookbook from Drake’s highlights autumnal excess

We’re always going to pore over every new lookbook from Drake’s but what they dropped this week is especially gorgeous. We think they’ve styled Kévis Manzi above in a particularly Aimé Leon Dore fashion and that’s certainly never an insult. The Parisian setting is a perfect foil for the collection with Kévis himself saying “When I think of Paris, I think of elegance… I think that here you can see inspiration everywhere…. On the street, in the restaurant, or just walking around. Clothes are a way of life.”

Universal Works introduces Collection 29 AW23, ‘Far From Memphis’

This time around British brand Universal Works has found inspiration in the world of Jim Jarmusch films and the iconic British band, The Clash. The amalgamation of these diverging influences results in a cohesive whole—a fusion of sartorial flair, sportswear, military details, and vintage Americana.

You’ll find deep-pile fleece jackets in bold camo and floral motifs, while utilitarian workwear jackets are cut from dusty pink herringbone wool. Thick, heritage- inspired checked flannels meet military-style quilted liners for an undeniably tactile appeal.

Drôle de Monsieur doing great things with elevated streetwear

We’ve just been turned on to the French brand who in their own words, “play with the modern and vintage combining fabrics and patterns of the past such as corduroy and houndstooth with the utilitarian and sleek finishes of today.”

The result is a distinctive hommage to iconic streetwear cultures from skateboard to breakdance all with a French twist. The brand's collections are halfway between fascination for the 70's and 80's aesthetic, nostalgia for the 90's and a true attention to today's needs, especially comfort.

They offer free worldwide shipping so don’t hesitate to have a look at their latest collection.
